About the role:

  • This role will contribute to the delivery of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) Health Equity Strategy 2022-2025 through the delivery of high level, culturally responsive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • Deliver high level profession specific clinical services including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of cultural and complex care needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families and integrating initiatives with high degree of independence in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.

About you:

  • Appointment to this position requires a relevant tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in an eligible Health Practitioner clinical profession.
  • Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively and credibly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families and carers with a clear understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols, and implantation of safe practice.
  • Ability to monitor and report clinical work practices and outcomes, as well as research, initiate, plan, and evaluate high-quality service improvement initiatives.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
